When my iPod froze up one day I had to reset it using the menu and play buttons and after I did that all my music was gone. So I got home and connected it to my PC and it said can't find ipod_control.
So I restored my iPoc and started putting songs back on it and it was running great, between 8-9MB/s. Then at about 1GB it started slowing down. It eventually got to .7MB/s transfer speeds. And a little after that my iPod froze. So I reseted it again and all my music stayed so I reconnected it to my PC and started transferring again.
It will continue with the .7MB/s speeds and then a message will pop up on my PC saying that there isn't enough room on iPod. I look at my iPod and it has frozen up.
I waited a day or two to transfer some more files and it starts off great again at like 8-9MB/s and then it will slow down and eventually freeze up.
Does anyone know what is wrong?
I have a 30GB iPod with the newest firmware. I have also tried using the firmware that came on the iPod cd and it still does the same thing.
