mini ipod firewire works usb2 doesnt

I just got a mini ipod and when i try to connect via usb2. Windows sees a mass drive then it disappears and reappears. the mini ipod shows disconnect ok then not okay and keeps switching.


But I borrowed a firewire card and everthing works fine. I just bought the usb2 card so is it the usb2 card or can it be fixed by anything else?

Is there any software that could fix problem?
or test if usb2 card is working correctly?

From what you're saying, the mini flashing on and off, I would say the usb is faulty. Either from your pc or, worse, from your mini.

Can't your try from another computer?

To try yours, just get another device working with usb: a mouse, webcam...
