disconnect after update broke my ipod

i disconnected it for the firmware flash after installing the update - before i had a chance to reconnect it - the software update was accidentaly closed down

now it won't start up all i get is the apple logo and then it flashes with a picture of the connector cable.


it won't run in disk mode either

will plugging it in to a power source complete the update?
i'm at work - my power adaptor is at home, doh :)
