okay. I have had such a long day and I'm very annoyed. Ok here's the deal. I just bought an iPod. I've charged it completely and I gonna run it on an running Windows Me system. I downloaded Ephpod in preperation for it. Now I've had two problems. One when I tried installing the installer disk it told me I needed to have a Windows 2000 or Xp. Well than I downloaded the version 2.0.1 for it cause it's compatible with Windows Me. When I installed it everything went fine, but when I plugged in my ipod the iPod manager of 2.0.1 told me that it doesn't recognize the iPod. Then I went to Ephpod and I picked the iPod from the list of things and then it tells me to build a directory. So I try and it tells me that my trial may have expired and that the MacOpener doesn't work. Please I need some serious help. I know a little about computers so please help. I'd really appreciate it.

If I were you, I would invest in a new operating system. Windows ME is a piece of junk. Have you tried looking for it in "My Computer" to see if it is being recognized as an external hard drive? If it doesn't show up in there, I would say you are having problems with your USB or Firewire hubs/drivers.
The easy solution would be to upgrade your operating system, though.

No my computer is clearly recognizing it. However I just can't update to Xp although I'd like to. I should also mention that when I plug in my iPod and I go to iPod manager it tells me that I need to update. But I think that I should restore anyway. But before it even lets me click whether I want to update or restore it says "Can't open iPod" PLEASE HELP!!

Go to www.redchairsoftware.com and buy Anapod Explorer. Much better program than EphPod, and worth the money. Once you do that, install it, then hook up your iPod.
I can't tell you specifically what you need to do because I don't use Windows ME. If your computer recognizes the iPod as an external drive then you shouldn't have a problem synching it with EphPod. Have you tried using iTunes?

Now I have another problem. I just tried dragging and dropping all my music files into the external drive which is my iPod. Well now when I try to eject it the iPod freezes. O I am so confused and I was really anticipating using my iPod today.

What are the HARDWARE specs on your computer? What type of processor, RAM, etc... are you using Firewire or USB to connect?
Dragging and dropping your MP3 files will do little more than back them up on your iPod for you. You won't be able to access them and play them in your iPod if you transfer them in data mode.
