I have no aux line in on my car stereo. Is there any way for me to still connect my ipod to my car speakers whitout having to use a fm transmitter. Maybe connect it directly to an amplifier? Please help. I have a Vw Golf with a JVC mp3 cd player.

Does your JVC head unit support a CD changer? If so, then you might be able to get something to interface that way such an adapter from PIE or others. http://www.pie.net/index.htm

If no CD changer support, then you have three options:

(1) FM transmitter such as iTrip or others
(2) FM modulator attached to the antenna lead
(3) Replace the head unit with one which supports AUX in.

Since you said you don't want to do (1), presumably you also don't want to do (2), so it looks like you get to shop for a new head unit. :)

either what he said, or if you have a casette adapter your can use that. You can connect your ipod to an amp, but the sound will only come through the speakers that are connected to the amp.
