It it a new free mail service offered by google. They offer a 1gb mailbox. Right now it is only in beta testing and the only way to get it is to be invited by someone. Google only gave people a certain amount of invites. In time it will be open to the public but everyone wants to get the name they want now.

Yeah, Dropkick pretty much summed it all up right there.

But be aware, gmailswap has alot of people that scam you into giving them and invite and not giving anything in return.
