Well after i finished my install in my 89 bronco II, i decided to go ahead and install my girlfriends ipod in her 00 civic for her. I have two questions for you guys,

1. I wanna wire in a new 12v slot so that i can hide the ipod charger behind the dash. Will there be any problems with doin that. If i just splice it in to the existing adapter will there be an problems?

2. For my car i used the sik imp to charge and provide me with a line out. For her car im thinking about going with the belkin charger so that its only one wire comming from the ipod. Sound quality is not as important to her as it is me. So i think using the belkin would look better in her case. Any one think otherwise?

I wish some on would release a car charger that would provide a line out further away from the dock connector. The imp and the monster charger coth have the line outs way too close.

thanks in advance for your help

look at my insta - in my signature, sould like exactly what you're doing...

as for splicing in an extra cigeratte adapter.. you shouldnt have any problems its real easy. you can pick one up from radio shack for a few dollars

the only thing i would sugest would be.... tape everything up tight! you dont want any of your conections getting loose and having to take the dash apart again... (TRUST ME.... I DIDNT TAPE THE FIRST TIME AROUND!) lol.. good luck

Not worried bout the taping. Im gonna use connectors and crimp them on. The connectors have worked on all my head unit and amp installs. I kno bout the 12v though. I grabbed mine from radio shack aswell. But there was already a 12v lead that was being used for a cb radio the previous owner had installed. It looks like her car is gonna be a whole lot harder to do then mine. Its gonna be a learning experence and hopefully i dont mess anything up.

Well i just got inside from working on her car and it seems to be all done. I just need to get the belkin charger later this week to finish everything off. Besides being drenched in my own sweat ( it is dam hot in new jersey) it was easy.
