I just upgraded from a 15" 700MHz iMac to a 1.6GHz PowerMac G5, and I noticed that my Apple Pro Speakers cannot fit into the analog out. This didn't bother me that much, as I'm selling the iMac, and the speakers go with it. I, however have an iSub, which also doesn't work for the PowerMac. Why would it not work? The connection is just plain USB 1.1, and I've tried it on all the usb ports (2 in back, 2 on keyboard, and one on front), but they all don't work...

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have never heard of a mac product that works on some systems, but not others...

there should be no reason why it doesn't work on the G5 - silly question, but is the mute turned off in the sys prefs? also does the green glow appear on the iSub when plugged in? do other usb things work through the ports? very bizarre...!?

Okay, there are 10 spots available... any takers? To what you might ask...

well it turns out that the iSub _does_ work with the G5, and it doesn't matter which USB port it's in... the only reason mine didn't work was... that... I... didn't have the power plugged in... the spots are to call me stupid...

Yeah, I know, how can I be so stupid...
