Sound Question!

hey guys, i just bought an aiwa cdc-x504mp, and its got the aux input, but when i connect my ipod i only get sound out of one side of the car....any ideas as to what this is???

Does the CD or FM play both L&R sides? Then check your line out cable-both the RCA and 1/8" ends. Be sure they are connected fully. Are you using the dock or another type cable for line out signal? Next, did you buy a mono cable by accident? Look for 3 distinct areas of contact on the 1/8" plug.

i had this problem when i connected my ipod through the dock to my home stereo. since i took off the plastic covering on the dokc when i plugged in the stereo jack i could plug it in too far and get mono and u had to get it perfect to get full stereo.

Did you do a mono cable? Thats what it sounded like, as only one channel playing all the time is pretty obvious.

Unless you have a top drawer system, you probably will not hear any difference.
