Iv'e got a problem that is driving me crazy. I downloaded a couple of audio books in the form of a zip file. Within the zip file there are several mp3's, each one with the authors name, book title and track number listed like this 1 0f 32, 2 of 32 etc. when I unzip these files into there own folder, explorer lists them in order, however when I import them to a playlist for synching in MC9 many of the filenames are changed and as a result they are no longer in order. A lot of the files that once had a track number in the filename no longer does. Ive tried submitting the tracks to yadb but had no luck with that. What annoys me so much is that when I used xPlay to create playlists and synch, it did it with no problems. It's tough to listen to when it bounces from track to track out of order. MC9 is considered by many to be the best option around for the ipod or music in general. That is why I switched. I am new to Mc9 and the Ipod so I am sure it's something simple I am overlooking. Any suggestions? Nick

Arrange the tracks in the order you want them in a Playlist. You can do that by dragging and dropping them, or, populate the track number tag so the files are in the order you want them. Then, when you add the files to the playlist sort them by the track # column (by clicking that colum), then right click the sequence column. There should be an option there to Order by List Order, or something like that.

Remember, it's all in the data that you populate in MC9's database, so if you correctly populate that, the iPod will get populated right.

Well what I did to fix it was right clicked and chose "remove sorting" and they all were then in the right order. Sounds odd that I would have to choose that so it would sort correctly. Nick

Clicking any column will sort them. Perhaps a default sort had been added.
