These forums have really helped me, so I want to help people back. Here's the best of the best for these earbuds based on my experience with them now.
Performance Summary: These earbuds sound great & you can hear lots of details. The bass is not boomy - instead you can hear the individual bass notes being played which is very cool! I think they are worth the money. I can't tell much difference with the S cable vs. without it except you have to turn up the volume with the S cable.
All Microphonics tips combined (This almost equals complete cord silence; if you run you'll need to do this):
1. Do this easy "ear hugger" mod. If you end up not liking it, you can undo it in about 5 secs. It just involves wrapping either a cable tie or a black twisty thing around the cable.

The cords should wrap around your ears and then come down the front of your body.
2. Tie another cable tie or just black twisty tie (like you use for garbage bags) around the R and L chord just below your chin.
3. Attach the clip to your shirt tightly (remove slack from the cable).
If you remove all slack from the cable and use lots of twisty ties, no noise. But you'll have to experiment a little because sometimes you need a little slack to turn your head from side to side.
