So, I'm having a hard time justifying spending $60 on cases for the ipod (Sportwrap + eVo), so I'm looking to buy just one. I do run on a treadmill daily, so I'd like to get a sportwrap, but I'm wondering how functional it'll be when it's not strapped to your arm. Is it still usable?

Also, is there an easy place on the eVo to strap on a keychain?

I'm afraid the Sportwrap really wouldn't be all that useful in everyday life -- it's pretty much a walking/running/exercising case only. It holds the iPod very well, and you can play through the mylar covering, but the neoprene armband portion is in no way removable if you just wanted to carry the case around normally instead of around your arm. Maybe a Teski Roadie? I don't have one of these, but there are threads form others who do, and at least the armband is removable so you can use it as a straight carrying case or a running case.

I love the Sportwrap for running on the treadmill, but I was doing pretty well with the eVo before the Sportwrap arrived. Granted, I was just carrying the thing around in my hand while street running, and laying it in the cupholder of the treadmill while in the gym, but it was useable during exercise, and the silicone protected the iPod itself from most of the sweat and all that, as well as provided a good solid grip so that my iPod wouldn't slip out of my hand.

If I were to just get one case, it would be the eVo. It's brightly colored and great for all around use -- very easily transportable and doesn't often require you to take the iPod out of the case (short of cleaning and using the actual dock).

As for the keychain issue, I don't believe there's any sort of loop to attach a keychain to (and frankly, I wouldn't trust the entire weight of the iPod on a small portion of the silicone case anyway), but people that use the belt clip (I don't as just a personal preference -- and from what I've heard about the strength of the plastic clip and its potential to scratch the back of the iPod, I would NOT recommend using the belt clip during running) may be able to tell you whether a keychain-type thing would attach to the belt clip connector or something.

Hmm, okay. Thanks for your input. I think I'm going to pick up an evo.
