If you could pick either one of these skins with any color you wanted, which would it be?

The iSkin eVo. The price is greater, but so is the package. It includes a great screen protector [far superior to Lajo's iShade], a great belt clip, the eVo [a great case], and the zip case [horrible]. You should spend the extra $$$ on the eVo.

I also pick the iSkin eVo. Between the better (and included!) screen protector, the thinner top portion to allow use for peripherals, and the dock connector port flap, it's far more useful to me. The iSkin zip case does suck, though -- Lajo's is much better. And while I like my Vamp, I'm also ogling the Wasabi.

So the eVo is better even though the belt clip scratches the iPod?

Just cut out some felt cloth or something to cushion where the belt clip touches the iPod's back. Or better yet, don't use the clip at it. I have an eVo skin, and the belt clip isn't sturdy at all.

I sent this 2 days ago and got it back today!!! I hope this helps you in your decision. Copy and paste

There has been numerous concerns around the Ipod community about your belt-clip scratching the Ipod surface. Has this defeciency been corrected? Because it has a significant bearing on my desicion to purchase your product. If this has been corrected how do you stand behind your products ability to
effectively function without defacing your customers valuable
investments?

Response

Hello ,

Thank you for contacting iSkin.

Iskin have improved the belt clips via adding 7 soft pegs on the belt disc
to prevent this from direct contact on the iPod. These new and improved
belt clips are now shipping with the evos, beginning this week.

Iskin have always been listening to their customer's suggestions and
concerns from the very beginning. Therefore, as soon as concerns arise form
the customers, iSkin immediately investigated the issue and have quickly
taken action to rectify this.

Thank you for your interest with iSkin.

Regards,
Michelle

I've been in contact with Michelle from iSkin during the past couple of weeks about my exo2 which has added serious scratches to my iPod.

Eventually, iSkin agreed to swap my exo2 for an evo as soon as the new belt clip and screen protector were released. As a result, I have sent my exo2 to Canada and have sent iSkin the postage costs by Paypal.

However, my Paypal account still has the money in waiting to be collected (it's been there over a week) and I still don't have a case. Furthermore, Michelle has not replied to my emails since I have sent the Paypal amount.

I am very disappointed with iSkin.

Can you detach the clip completely from the iSkin evo? as in completely so that the disk or anything isnt on?
the exo3 boasts about being 0.7 mm thick (thin!) is this all around
the skin or just the piece over the controlls?
i dont like the little loop that comes with the exo3 but id put up
with it cos it looks like a really tight fit which i like and i really dont like the belt clip on the evo.
im leaning towards the exo3 as my first skin for the above reasons,
anything ive missed or any comments b4 i buy? :)

The silicone covering the scroll wheel and the buttons on the eXo 3 help protect the iPod at all, or is it just for looks?

the eXo3 case covers everything but the screen (and the top n bottom ports). the eXo 3 *will* protect from scratches, but it's not thick enough to help if you drop it from a height.

Is it possible to take away the clip from the iSkin Evo?

Will the eVo protect the iPod if it is dropped?

Yes norby, the eVo will protect the iPod if dropped. Fact being is because the eVo is made of silicone and once it is dropped, it will most likely bounce depending how high it was dropped from. the eVo is the best skin out right now, hands down.

Seems to me the eXo is a perfectly good case, (starbright-y glow color) but get the iSkin screen cover. Problems all gone:)

Lajo do a pretty good screen protector of their own... its a couple of dollars extra but comes in a range of colours (iskin only comes in clear!).

Why would you want your screen clouded over with a tinted protector? Screen protectors are supposed to be clear IMO.

In case there is still anyone reading this who doesn't know, iSkin is now shipping eVos with an improved belt clip that doesn't scratch. I posted a picture in another thread and the only response I got was a rude statement about my digital camera.

Why...? Cos some people like to change the colour of their screen but don't want to go the the extent of some of the more extreme ipod mods. It's cheap and simple.

Anyways... I've tried em and they don't make the screen that much harder to read.

i still like the exo3 better just cuz it's not as bulky.. plus i like the scroll wheel covering cuz on my other ipod, i got a scratch on the center button (middle of scroll wheel) and that made me crazy.. so the thin layer is enough to protect from scratches...

I'm a G3 newbe. I think I want the eXo3, as it's clear, thin and covers the iPod completly. Right?

A few questions: I am getting really confused w/ all the "ex" models. =/

Is this the case w/ the belt clip scraching issue? If so has this been resolved? The belt clips I have seen are clear plastic and are sold separatly.

Is this case compatable with an armband.

Can someone pls post a link so I can buy this case. Thx =)

I want nothing between my buttons, wheel and me. I therefore vote unanimously for the the iSkin. Great product.

I vote for the exo3. I like the thinness of it. Only .7 mm thick!!! I also like Lajo's orginial Exo. It is open up for the buttons, and he has dozens of color schemes for it.

How much lint do these collect when in a pocket? I'm considering getting an eVo, but don't want it if it's covered when I pull it out of my pocket. Also, is it correct to say that the thicker silicon on the eVo will enable you to toss (gently) the iPod into a backpack without worries? Thanks.

jbmossman14,
Curious. What color ex03 do you have? I want to get one that matches the IPod but they have a number of colors that look close like Frost, Snow, Ice, Pearl. Thanks
