Just bought an Iskin Evo from the Apple Store. I have some things to say about it.

First off, I recommend you purchase it from iskin.com because if you do so it comes with a free carrying case, which is actually really important if you put your ipod held in an iskin in a bag of some sort. As you probably know iskins attract all types of things on it's surface.

I also think it's somewhat a pain of how there isn't just an opening on the top of the iskin to slip in the ipod. Granted contorting your iskin to put in the ipod is no big deal, but it would have been nice. I also don't like how you have to put the screen protector back on manually after each time you take the ipod in and out of the case. I wish iskin could have attached the screen protector permanently.

And lastly, does anyone have a carrying case I could have or sell me? Or where I can purchase one online? I'm looking for the clear case that comes for free with the iskin purchase on iskin.com. Let me know. Thanks!

why people constantly take the ipod out of the case? it seems like your supposed to put the skin on and leave it alone...

Creating a flap for inserting the iPod would compromise the fit of the Evo. Inserting the iPod through the window of the Evo is no difficult than stuffing it in the top of the DLO JamJacket that i owned.

Don't even waste your time on iSkin's zip. I have mine, the zipper ripped on the first day, and I hate it.

I agree. I rarely take my iPod out of its case, except to show off its good looks and remember what it really looks like.

Again, I agree. I made the mistake of buying an Exo flap, and the flap has not proven to be advantages at all, and the button / wheel covers are a pain.

I have two spare iSkin clear plastic zipper cases that I don't use. I would definitely be willing to give you one if you'd spring for shipping. I can't believe yours didn't come with one -- I thought that was part of the whole package, no matter where the iSkin came from.

Hey Ladyslug,

I purchased my iskin at a local Apple store, and It didn't come with my iskin sadly. Do you have the same clear package zip that currently comes with 30/40 GB Iskins? You can see a picture of what I am talking about on www.iskin.com when you click on the evo.

You let me know and I'd be willing to pay for shipping.

Also, do you guys keep your iskin on while you charge your ipod?
I wasn't sure if that was safe or not.

I have a 15/20GB size eVo, and the case came with that -- I'm not sure if there's only one size of clear "accessory" case, or if they're different for each size.

It sounds like iSkin might be phasing these out anyway -- maybe it makes sense that you didn't receive one when ordering off Apple.

Does the iSkin eVo come with a free promotional iSkin iPod Accessory Pouch?
When you order online from iSkin.com, you will receive the iSkin Accessory/Travel pouch to carry your iPod?s accessories. This is a free promotional item and is available only while quantities last and is not considered a part of the iSkin product line.

Let me know if you think it's the right one...
