because this is the kinda setup i'm looking for, with Itrip and a boom box, but i was wondering if there is anything thats even more protective? and better at keeping sand etc. out?

More specifically, it's the iSkin eVo (because you can plug in the peripheral while the iPod is still in the case - the tops of all the eXos are too thick).
I've got one and I think it's great, but I'd definitely think twice about using it at the beach! One nosedive off the boombox and the sand would be getting into everything!

yea, i was thinkign that u could just put it in a ziplock bag or somthin, but i was wondering if there are any cases that conceal everything but the screen?

The MacClear Zips that Lajo sells works well to keep sand out.

that thing looks good, but it still looks like the face of the ipod is open? also i dont think it can support a FM transmitter?

The face is not open, it's sealed via some sort of rubber membrane to keep moisture (and dirt/sand/etc.) out. And I think you're right, I really doubt an FM transmitter will work in this case.
