A really weird request:

anyone know of a place that sells one-ear earbuds?? Yes. One ear. And preferably in stereo not mono?? I ask this because I work in a call center... so the noise volume is outrageous! I listen to my ipod at work to block out noise (and my love of music) and frankly... I don't want to accidentally break off the other earphone dangling and would just like to hear all of the sound. Any suggestions would be greatful!

And if there aren't any manufacturers out there that make stereo i'm desperate to accept mono!! And if I am asking a really lame question..... I'm really sorry. :(

Thank you.:)

I don't know any company that makes earbud specifically for just one ear... but one thing is for sure: A "stereo" one-sided earbud doesn't exist.

"Stereo" effect comes from feeding your right and left ear different signals... if you were to feed both signals into just one ear, effectively you are in fact getting "mono" sound. There's no way to feed sound into just one ear and get stereo effects.

It is humanly impossible to perceive sound that way.

This is kinda ghetto but just buy a nice pair of whatever earphones and take some ol' scissors to the earbud you don't want. Or just let it hang down in your shirt. That's probably your best bet.

i think by "stereo" he meant all the sound went to one ear. you know how certain sounds go to left, some to right, etc, make it so they all just go to one ear. by just cutting off one earphone, he will lost music

This is to go with your weird request. I purchased some earbuds to use with my phone. Why don't you check out the ones for cell phones and the ones they use at call centers. They have one earbud and a mic to answer calls but you can remove the mouthpiece and they come in different prices. Some are expensive but they had some $20 and up. I don't remember the name of the site that specializes in these headphones but try goggle.

You might want to note that the headsets used for cell phones have a differently sized connector so you may have to find an adapter. That is if it works at all...

well this might fit your needs perfectly:

http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_30&products_id=491&osCsid=c6ef3d22ad57cddf9fd80ca0b60f96a2

audioCubes sells headphones from japan to the rest of the world. They are apparently pretty reliable (according to others on these boards).
