i got some shure e2's bout 7 months ago since then they have been nothing but a constant hassle, the first pair I got (from pjbox.co.uk) after 3 months developed a fault where if the cable was moved near the jack the sound went from two cahnnels to one and there was heavy feedback.

I was totally gutted and reverted back to my old crap mini disk ones, I contacted pjbox and sent them back, I got a enw pair a few days later.

Then recently they developed the exact same fault as the other one's, so I have had to send them back. I heard today that they are faulty and I will eb recieving some new ones, not in time for my holiday on monday im sad to say.

They are great headphones but I might just sell the new ones and get some other ones because I can't rely on Shure's E2c's.

From what I've read, Shure was/is aware of the problem and has corrected it. Sounds like you're still getting old-stock from pjbox.co.uk.

If it happens again with the next set, perhaps you should contact Shure customer service directly. I bet they'd send out a new set for you that doesn't suffer from this fault.

FWIW, my E2cs from 10/03 are still truckin' after 3 to 4 hrs of daily use.

What AndyH said.

Contact pjbox and make sure you get *new* (i.e. from the US) stock. This problem occured on the early batches, but have been solved.

I had exactly the same problem. Replaced the plug with another one and soldered it up - problem solved in 5 mins.
