I'm looking to upgrade my 1G 5GB iPod. If you, or know someone who has a 10GB drive (from what I've read, it can either be a 1G or a 3G one) for sale, please email me at barret55@yahoo.com.

From what I've read on Tech TV's website, the 2G drives are different sizes:

Yes, I have tried ebay .. what few I've found and bid on, the auctions were cancelled by the seller, probably because they weren't getting what they wanted for them. I also don't believe I need a 20 or 30 GB drive (most of what I've seen there on ebay), because my music collection is much smaller than that.

i thought the 1st and 2nd gen were the same minus the scroll wheel. if you need a 10g 2nd gen . i have one. good as new. i busted a fuse on my main board and now i have to part the whole thing. get back to me with a reasonable price and we can talk.

From the Tech TV website I mentioned a couple of posts above, the second generation iPods supposed use a physically larger hard drive, so they're not compatible with the first-generation iPods. If someone has proven this to be wrong, I'll happily stand corrected. :)
