i just received new lid and clip from xtrememac for their xtremity case. i bought it last winter when it just came out and its clear lid scratched the face of my ipod pretty bad. they now snt me the lid that has been redesigned with small cushions to keep it away from the ipod.

better late than never, i guess..but not for my poor ipod..

as for the clip - the old one was ok with me but the new one is supposed to be more sturdy..

You could try using liquid brasso on the iPod. I use it anytime I get scratches. It will get out almost all scratches (so long as they are not extremely deep) if you put some elbow work into it.

I've been thinking about buying it (I like how it comes with a car mount and a belt clip), but there are no reviews here about it. Do you like it (other than the scratching)? Are you using the car mount? If so, how well has that worked?

Thanks!

(I think I've posted something like this on a few other threads, just because I seem to be the only one using an Xtremity)

I've been using it for awhile and found that it's a pretty decent case (and the redesigned lid comes with it now, so no scratches), and the only drawbacks are that you must open the lid to change songs, and the iPod fits rather tightly in there.

The car mount works pretty well, and you can get a couple extra from XtremeMac for all your vehicles. The belt clip is similar to that on the other XtremeMac cases and seems to be rather durable.
