I thought I was ripping my music at 128kbps but my brother changed my settings and I have been ripping at 192kbps. Is there any way I can convert my 192kbps to 128kbps or do I have to start from scratch? I have about 2000 songs already ripped. The Ipod is a new 20 gig model and all the files are AAC, Windows XP.

Thanks

You could use a program like CDex (http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/) to re-encode all of the songs at the lower bitrate. It may take a while, but as far as i know all of the solutions will as they will all involve encoding.
You should be able to select all of the songs, set it away and then just leave it (overnight?) to do its thing.
