Ok here's the deal....I'm so confused with everything that I must do to my iPod that I'm getting in a couple of weeks to work with Windows Me. Here's what I THINK I should do. I just please want responses telling me if I am correct or incorrect and explain what I must do. I think that I'm going to get my iPod. I hear that it comes with v. 2.2. Well I think that v. 2.2 is indeed compatible with Windows Me..it's just that iTunes isn't. If this is not true then I hear that I must restore my iPod and install v. 2.01. After I do this, wILL THEN plug in my ipod. oh and what the hell is MusicMatch for? can you use it for transfering music? If not well I already have Ephpod. Anyway, then I will plug in my iPod. After this I do not know what happens. Please tell me what happens and what I must do after I plug in my iPod. I am a complete moron when it comes to this iPod software stuff so please respond in English. I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I'm guessing you don't yet have the iPod you ordered, judging from what you're asking.

I've heard that the version of firmware depends on the age of the stock; older stock might not come with v2.2, so you'll have to update the firmware once you get it (it'll probably remind you to do this or something like that, once you plug it in).

Just read the manuals that come with the iPod when you get it; you'll have to install some software and charge the iPod first before plugging it in. The rest takes care of itself. Remember to select Manual Sync, rather than Auto Sync, when you choose how the iPod will receive music from your PC.

It'll become pretty apparent once the iPod is in front of you. Good luck!
