iPod Locked Up

I was out running with my 3G 15GB iPod when at the end of my run it locked up. The display stayed on and it locked up right at the very end of the song. I tried to reset it, however, it acts as though the hold switch is on (it isn't). I plugged it into the ock and hooked it up for a recharge, turned the hold switch on and off and tried to reset it and still nothing happens. Any ideas?

(I have the very latest iTunes and iPod update, but haven't experienced any problems, even when running in the past.)

Try letting the battery run down and then recharge it. Sometimes that works.
