Hey. I have had my ipod for a couple months now. I have taken relatively close, careful, good care of it. I have dropped it only twice, once from about 3 feet up onto a rug, the other in the stock black case, kinda hard. Still works good, but i have noticed a scrath or two on the LCD, and several scratches on the chrome on the back, like near the top in the same spot, kinda by where the apple cover is. It looks worn, maybe from constant rubbing. I keep it (with the case) jammed in my pocket all day at school, does this affect it? Also, what is the best case to protect from scratches, dents, dropping it, etc., and what looks best.
Thanx

Read some of the reviews of cases under Gear Guide... or read some of the 100+ posts about cases... this horse has been beaten to death and you'll have to read some of the posts to get an idea of what will meet your needs.

The case it comes with will scratch your ipod... For best looking case I would vote for the Vaja Ivod best looking in my opinion, hands down. It's a great case but the plastic screen protector seems to scratch pretty easy. I tend to use a Booq nappa case more often now, although it's pretty bulky(I usually just toss my pod into my backpack). It has a removable flap that covers the front and just feels like it adds more protection, plus its a nice looking case. I think either of these cases would suit your needs.

Either do what MDobilas said, or use the OtterBox oPod. Check it out at http://www.otterbox.com.

Um...for scratch protection, get the RadTech PodSleevZ. That's only for scratch protection, because they're really thin.
