I've read lots of good things about both these 'phones, but which do you guys prefer? I found the E2c for about $65 shipped, and I think I may go with those, unless the ER-6 are REALLY worth the extra $$$.

The price difference is only about $30. That's not so bad.

Why do you prefer the E2c?

do you use the foamies for the E2c's? between the double-flange of the ER-6 and the clear ear-thingies of the E2c, which do you find more comfortable? (sorry, I'm drawing a blank for the word - it's awfully late and I can't sleep:p )
I love the E2c 's and I use the clear buds, not the foamies. They are comfortable and the sound of the earbuds is wonderful. For the money, I don't think you can go wrong with them.

i'll bring this post back from the dead rather than creating a new one.
i've had the Shure E2c headphones for about a year. they sound great and i really like them. i originally had the clear plastic sleeves (used medium) and was then given Shure's black softer sleeves for a better fit (again, used medium). while i love the headphones, sometimes i find it too difficult to get a proper seal or for that seal to stick (yes, i clean my ears and even do it before every extended listen with the headphones). the large size is just a bit too large and gets uncomfortable and the small is too small to form a proper seal.
i was thinking of switching to the Etymotic ER-6i because of the flange sleeves and i was hoping they'd fit better. i'm aware the bass is not as prominent as in the E2c, but overall clarity is better. that's fine for me. i'm most concerned with fitament now.
there's not really a retailer near me to try these headphones on and i would rather not go through the hassle of shipping/exchanging the headphones if i don't have to. if anyone has experience with what i'm referring to, please, i'd like to hear your opinion.
thanks!
