My head is throbbing. All these different product names that are nearly identical, and from 2 different manufactureres? And to make things even bloody better, 1/2 the models look darned near identical!

Which ones should I look at purchasing for a 3g 20 gig ipod?

Help!

The best case IMO, would be the iSkin eVo. Then followed by the iSkin eXo2. Pretty much the same thing as the iSkin eVo, except that on the eVo screen protector they removed the iSkin logo. So the screen protector is all nice and clear. Unlike the eXo2, where the iSkin logo was blocking yo from clearly viewing play/pause. Also on the eVo, they use soft pads, instead of hard ones like on the eXo2. The soft padding is less prone to scratch up the LCD.

For price, you can't go wrong with the Laja exo3, only $9 USD.

Lajo only makes soft screen protectors called iShades. I do not know what you mean about hard and soft pads. Also Lajo's iShades do not have a logo on them. Maybe I am missing something?

From what I see on his site he has exo, exo2, exo3 and exoflp there are no evo cases, I will have another look.

I bought from him and I am happy I did. I will be buying more of his cases as soon as he comes out with his twist clip. I just got a xrap for my iPod mini and this is a great product, when you get a chance take a look at it on his site lajo.biz

I like the eVo as well. It's my personal fave, but only because I don't really like the look over the covered buttons and scroll wheel.

I have no problem with Lajo's products (I have an original EXO from his line), and if you would like to have the buttons and scroll wheel covered with a thin layer of silicone (that you should be able to touch through), then that's the way to go. Both the Lajo exo2 and exo3 have covered buttons, but the exo3 is significantly thinner (so it won't interfere with plugging in various peripherals). His iShade is a square of soft plastic that sits directly on the screen (sometimes this leads to a "wet spot" look), but there is no worry about it moving or scratching the screen at all.

iSkin's products are my personal preference. They are made out of the same silicone material, but instead of having covered buttons and wheel, they have a dock connector flap and beveled edges. I have an easier time accessing the hold switch with the iSkin eXo2 and eVo. The eXo2 and the eVo are virtually the same product, except that eVo comes with a screen protector that sits above the screen on tiny soft silicone nubs so you never get the wet look, and there is no longer a logo on the screen protector. Also, the eVo has thinner silicone along the top so that you can connect many of the Griffin or Belkin products with no problems.

The iSkin cases are more expensive because they come as an all-in-one set, including the silicone skin, a screen protector, belt clip and connector, and a plastic zip case to fit either the iPod or accessories/cables. Lajo offers his products as a build-your-own-set system. I personally prefer the clear zip case that Lajo makes to the iSkin version. I cannot comment on belt clips as I do not use them.

In the end it comes down to personal preference. The two companies have slightly different styles and covers, and you just have to figure out which one offers the attributes you're interested in.
