To those who it may concern,
I just have a description of what I'm going to do with the ipod and my software and I would like an answer telling me whether what I'm going to do is good or bad and if it's bad what I should do. Anyway, I am receiving an iPod in a couple of weeks and I would like to be prepared. You see I have a running Windows Me system. I know that the iPod itself works with Me, but iTunes doesn't. Right? That is fine 'cause I just recently installed Ephpod which I heard is a good alternate program. Luckily I have a Firewire port which I can use and don't have to use $20 bucks on the USB 2.0. Anyway to the point. I've been hearing several things about the iPod versions, for example the 2.0.1. and 2.1.
(Remember I'm a newby so if these questions are stupid, please don't mind me, and also please resbond in Newbie language, thanx a lot). Well I'm getting a 3rd Gen. 15GB iPod. Which does it come with? Thanks a lot for your time and I would greatly appreciate an answer of whether I'm doing everything correctly or not. Thanks again.

Hello. iTunes DOES come for Windows ME. I tried to use EphPod, and I hated it. So, I would use iTunes. Then, you can use the music store also. Your 15GB 3rd Generation iPod includes the iPod, the install disk, and headphones. For other accessories, you would have to purchase from Apple. I have some other accessories too if you would like. Just PM me. Your iPod should come with version 2.1, and you should update to 2.2 once you receive it. Also be sure to have the newest version of iTunes on your computer. Good luck and happy iPodding!

Uhh.... actually, iTunes isn't compatible with Windows ME. I have ME and therefore I use EphPod. It's great!

Per system requirements for iTunes, you need Windows XP or 2000.
