i am just about to go on a camp in 2 weeks and i was wondering if anyone has made a budget version of the monster iSplitter, which, for those who dont know, is a headphone cable that has a port on one end that breaks the line up into 2 so 2 headphones can listen.
if you have, it would be good if you had some instructions, or even a tutorial

mmm, I picked up a headphone splitter from the electronics section of my local department store for ?1.99.
Dosn't look as pretty but it does the job!

Same here. You can buy them at most hardware/electronics shops. I use mine when connecting my iPod to my 4.1 speaker system because it has two jacks (front and rear channels). I use the splitter so all the four speakers work. The effect is just stereo and not surround, but I have all the four speakers working. :)

Belkin makes one specifically marketed at the iPod. It is something like $6-7.

Do you need to match the two headphones or can you use any combination? I want to add a second set of phones for an upcoming trip with my wife, so I'd be using the Apple buds and some other type of phones. For instance, I've seen some "sound cancelling" earphones--would these work as well with, or cause problems for, the Apple earbuds, when both are plugged in?
thanks,
