Podsling

I'm thinking of buying a Podsling case - was wondering how well it protects the iPod, in particular, does it scratch the iPod when you take it out of the case. Thanks.

I have one in red and I love it. No it won't scratch the pod. The inside is soft suede like material. It has 1 clear window for ID, and 2 pockets behind it for credit cards and/or cash. I've used the pockets when I've gone to the store and didn't want to take my handbag or wallet. I just use the Podsling. Also the long strap is great. For one, it's adjustable to short or long length. You can hang it around your neck, or diagonally across your body. There's and outside pocket for the earbuds & remote. I have folder both and put them in there but could not snap it close with both in there.

The opening in the bottom is covered by the snap closure. The top opening is for the earbuds/remote only. The hold button is covered and only accessible when you open the top. It comes in black also. The hardware is nice and strong and easy to clip on or take off when you want to use the case without the strap.

I got the red and seriously thinking about getting the black one. I love this case and haven't had any problems with it. There is also a plastic cover for the iPod window on the case but the buttons are not covered.

Also I believe that the Podsling will fit up to the 3g 30gig iPod only, don't think it's for the 40 gig.

40 gig and 30 gig are the same size....

I have the black Podsling and I like it. I think it provides good protection and it is convenient to carry the iPod this way. I especially like the fact that the connector slot on the bottom of the iPod is covered since I've lost both plugs.

I got it and it's a very nice looking case though I hope the "new leather" smell wears off soon. Also the front plastic is a bit scratched up but I suspect that would happen sooner rather than later anyway.
