A lot of people say that the Apple case scratches and I can see that the tag inside could cause some damage. I was wondering if my iPod was in it's exo3, then put inside the apple case would it be safe?
I looked and I don't think I've seen someone suggest this before. If anyone has tried this out and had zero scratches I'd be intersted to hear about it.

Seems like a good idea to me...and I believe Lajo even has a photo on his site of an iPod in an exo3, both inside of the Apple case.

Yea it works really well together although side protection is lacking as usual.

Thanks, that's good to know. The extra protection (lacking side protection) will be good for when it's in a rucksack. I thought if I've been supplied a case of some value I might as well use it as long as it won't cause any damage.

It works fine, but it's a pain to get in and out...

I can imagine the silicone gripping the inside of the case. I'll give it a whirl myself and see what I think.
I'm not allowed my iPod till my birthday so I'll have to wait till then only 2 weeks to go!

its not as easy to get in and out as it seems, the silicone get sifted and twisted - its a real bummer, especially when you have to pull it out everytime you want to do something
If you dust your iPod case down with baby powder as people have suggested it goes in and out easier. Still not incredibly easy, but who wants their iPod to fall out, anyway?

What is the best way to get the skin on if I have an iShade? Should the iShade be put in place before putting the skin on or positioned after?
