I'm assuming this a streaming kind of sharing - anyone want to work with me and figure out how it works? You'd need a Cable or DSL connection.

Yanno, I just assumed it was for sharing with others on my home network.
Your idea is very appealing, but I'm stuck with a lousy dialup at home and no Mac at work. :(

Hmm, how long until Apple steps in? Does it work with dynamic IP addresses? Strike that one - just looked up DynDNS.org....
Shame it only works with cable or broadband. And could Tom listen to the contents of my iTunes? Or could he download it?

I'm using the shareitunes site and the status indicator. The status indicator works wonderfully, but the shareitunes site doesn't let you make changes to the url once it's entered. Well at least I couldn't find a way to do it. If there is a way to make a change please let me know. Other than that gripe the shareitunes site is WAY cool. I like being able to find other iTunes lists to listen to. Now if I could only get mine to share correctly. It works great as long as I by pass my base station extreme and hardwire into the cable modem. I set the port 3869 to open in the firewall and I thought I had done the samething within the base station (I'm not sure if it's even possible to do this, but I tired anyway). I'm even using no-ip.com to give a fixed ip to route to.

I put sharing on but it wont list my status as "ON":confused:

That probably means something's not right with your URL. Are you connecting to the internet via a router? Or an Airport?

Also, if you like At the Drive-In, whenever I get to converting the "M"s in my collection to AAC, you should check out the Mars Volta. It's a couple of the guys from At the Drive-In.

i finally got a min. to flip through your amazing collection and man oh man im impressed. check out mineral and inside sooooooo great.
my library was distroyed because for some reason i turned on my computer and my computer was unable to detect my harddrive so i had to reinstall the jag.
so for the moment, untill i find my library dv's my collection is down. but anyway
modest mouse is amazing
