I purchased the Marware CEO Classic Case a few months ago and really enjoyed the design and how i could use the ipod without taking it out of the case. But until today I didn't really know how well it would protect my ipod from nasty spills. Well today at the YMCA my iPod took a 6 foot drop onto hard tile flooring with the case lid off. But my iPod still works perfectly and has no new scratches or other marks. I just like to say i recommend this case to people out there looking for a case! hehe i almost wished my ipod did stop working tho since i have a 3 year in-store warranty on it and its pretty scratched
I love a story with a happy ending! It's never nice to have situations arise where you need excellent protection, but when they do arise, it's good to know our cases help combat the problems that may arise. Thanks for the kind words and the recommendation candyeye! You may just want to use the iPod diagnostic utilities to scan the HD and make sure you don't have any damage to the internal disk. A jolt like that can cause problems, with or without a case. Hope all is well. Thanks again.

Disk scan. Reset the iPod. At the Apple logo, press and hold Previous, Next, Select, and Menu. An animated icon of a disk and magnifying glass with a progress bar below it appears.
Use this combination when you want to check the integrity of the iPod's hard drive. This test can take 15 to 20 minutes, so be patient. If the scan shows no problems, a checkmark appears over the disk icon. To return your iPod to regular use, press Play.
