Check it out and give it a try:

m4a and m4p files from iTunes are supposedly supported.

Tagging issues with straight mp4 files remain, however. Apparently an mp4>m4a converter is in the works.

It works fine for me and my with FAAC encoded files, which I converted to .mp4 files with Ivan and Menno. I then renamed the extensions .mp4 to .m4A and transfered to the Ipod.

Only issue : tags are not properly read. Have to re-tag all the songs from scratch within Ephpod...

Ephpod didn't work at all with me. It would display the whole left 1/4th of the screen pictures and didn't load my ipod at all.
w/e tho, i'll just wait until the final release - or a better beta.

Yep, this verison still doesn't work as advertised. For one way uploading of mp3's it works great, but try syncing folders any you will see how everything goes crazy.

Test -

1) Sync a small folder full of 20 MP3's
2) Quit Ephod
3) Using a tag editor, change the genre of the mpr3's in the folder you are syncing
4) restart Emphod and sync the folder. Why is 1/2 my MP3's missing from the i-Pod?
