I am switching to a Mac very soon, so I am storing all of my files I need on my iPod, and then I will just transfer them to my Powerbook when I get it.

I have a questions for iTunes. There are two files in my iTunes folder called "iTunes 4 Music Library" and "iTunes 4 Music Library (Old)." They are both listed as data files.

Are these files I need to transfer to the Mac? Are these what hold the Play Count and album art information? Why are there two, and why is the one have "(Old)" on it?

Thanks.

The one marked with "(Old)" is a backup file created during the iTunes upgrade process. You really don't need to keep it if iTunes is working correctly and all of your music appeared in iTunes correctly after updating.

But I do still have to copy the "iTunes 4 Music Library" data file to my Powerbook, right? Will all the playcounts and album art transfer over to OSX and work properly?
