Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. iTunes Music Store Pricing Structre Lets it Down,
If you want to buy a few tracks off and album then $0.99 is not much for a track.

But if you want to purchase the album then there can be problems with the price.

e.g.

Tracks restricted to make u purchase the whole album

A Perfect Circle - Thirteenth Step

12 songs on the album so thats

12songs x 0.99per song =$11.88

But you can only purchase the first song with the album and the whole album costs $14.99 so is the first song worth $3.11

This is just one example, but there are other problems with the pricing structure

Thats up to the record companies. Not apple. If you want teh whole album, its a better idea to actually buy the CD from a store.

Records companies have still not figured out that the game has moved and are clinging onto in store sales till the last dying breath

artists and record companies were very loud about their concerns that people wouldn't buy the whole album, when iTMS first came out. Then they go and set up pricing that actually discourage people from buying entire albums. Just goes to show you, they don't know what the hell they're doing and are simply afraid of change.
