Ipod options

I was wondering if it was possible to have set itunes manually update my ipod on my laptop so i can use itunes to play the files from the ipod on my ibook, and have it automaticlly update from the library on my main machine which is the main library without having to manually change the setting each time i attach my ipod.

it's not a big deal i would just like to know if its possible.

I don't believe that's possible, no. As far as I know, the Sync setting *follows* (is stored on) the iPod.

thanks, that is what i thought, since i plugged it into both machines and it's the same one each machine.

Hopefully there will be some release so that you can have a primary computer and a secondary computer...kinda like a pocket pc partnership... although not many ppl on this forum would know what im talkin about...
