Help with Loading songs on my Itunes?

When i put a cd thats on my computer on my ipod i usually make a new playlist. Ex: Jay-z.. then in the Jay-z folder i would put for example The Black Album. How do u delte the playlist. I recently tried to delete a playlist which was called D12...in the D12 playlist there was the D12 world album. I deleted the playlist but some songs are still on my ipod in the albums section when i go under D12...how do i delete the whole cd?

The iPod (and iTunes for that matter) doesnt' use folders. It organizes everything based on the tags on the files, which you edit in iTunes.

So, first of all, make sure you have "Browse" mode turned on in iTunes. Click the "eye" or press <cntrl>B on a PC (not sure of the Mac version).

That will show you the panes, makes navigating much easier.

To fix the problem, right click your songs and select "Get Info". Edit it and it will organize it properly for you. For example, if there is an Album that you don't want, correct the Album name to what you want it to say. Same goes for Artist.

If you want to get rid of the album entirely (or any songs for that matter) you have to do it in your iTunes "Library." This will get the songs of your iTunes entirely. If you've kept the songs files in the folder that you've specified as your iTunes Music folder location, or in the default location, when you delete the songs from iTunes, it will ask you if you want to move those files to the trash/recycling bin. This will get rid of your song files as well. If the songs aren't in the Music folder, you'll have to hunt them down and trash them yourself.

If i delete the songs from the Library would that song not be in the playlist I put it in?

Right, it would be removed from any playlists in which it resides.

Understand, the Library is the master list of all your tunes. Playlists are just "pointers" to songs in your library.

You don't have to make any playlists at all if you don't want to.
