Tag reverts to original name

I have a tag that I keep trying to change the name of the song, but everytime I play the song the tag changes back to the original name. No matter how many times I change it, everytime it plays, the tag goes back to its original name. Whats the deal, nothing seems to make the change stick...

That thappened to me once. It's like any songs I downloaded that day (from fatwreck.com for the record) had problems. I tihnk it eventually worked, or worked on my iPod, or I had to re-DL. In short, I don't have an answer, btu it was a pain. Sorry man.

I have had the same deal... I tried saying read only and rebooting, i think that fixed it.

Maybe the files has bad ID3 tags. Right-click on the song and choose "covert ID3 tags" (It has to be MP3 for that work) and choose the most recent version v2.3. Don't know if it will work, but it's worth a shot.

This will happen if the mp3 files are "read only"--windows verison--not sure about mac.

In windows explorer, right click on the file and make sure that the "read only" option is not checked.
