The Ben n Jerry's song giveaway happened without much fanfare. Anyone have some spare codes from that?
Sorry I am 2 songs away from having all the Thrice/Thursday split and getting it for free would rock. Come on guys, save a brother a few bucks for tuition... :-D

Well, what sucks is that I sent in a few valid entry forms, both of which showed up as the first 50,000, and neither of them sent me a code. My sister entered too, and she actually DID get a code. She doesn't even have an iPod. Life sucks.
Oh, and the link for Ben and Jerry's is off of the Apple website now.

I got a code from B&J as well. As soon as I entered the code, I can no longer access my shopping cart. So for the hope of a free song, I've lost any ability to buy form the store. I could purchase music just fine, even up to 30 minutes before I entered the code.
Beware.

yea, iTunes shopping cart. That's what it it called. Left side of iTunes, right under Music Store. If you go to the discussions on Apple's site, you'll see that iTunes shopping carts are now screwed for many folks; even if they didn't upgrade to the broken iTunes 4.5 release.

So turn off the shopping cart. Preferences->Store.

That doesn't do any good if you have albums in the cart. If you try to buy anything via 1-click that you've previously put in the cart, you can't.
Your solution uses the same logic as answering "my computer wont boot" with "then don't use it."
Form reading posts on apple's forums, it seems that shopping cart issues are affecting mainly folks who used some "free" redemption codes. Hmmm.

heh my goal with the pepsi itunes giveaway was to get that whole thursday/thrice apple store split.
Which i am glad to say was acomplished thanks to 7-11 having itunes slurpee cups

:-( I was so close, but i also did get the Less Than Jake one. My local 711 guys were being stingy with their extra cups. :-\
