I-tunes Complaint !

Have my pod about 3 weeks and am close to 1,000 songs with about 100 of them downloaded from I-tunes . BUT there are a whole bunch of songs that they don't have yet and I HATE the fact that they don't let you download extra long songs . I mean haven't they been around long enough where they should have more inventory ?

I would suspect that negotiations with the Record labels are what is causing most of these problems. I think Apple is probably walking a very fine line to keep this going and is having to give as much as it gets to move it along. I don't think most of the major record labels have decided that legal on-line downloads are in their best interest yet and Apple (as well as others) are having to prod them along to get anywhere. I'm not sure the labels will EVER realize how much on-line sales are good for them. They seem more worried on protecting an outdated system that supports their bottom line and ONLY their bottom line, consumers be damned...

PodSki, you must not have ventured into the legitimate download world very much. iTunes MS, has the largest catalog of any downloading service.

You got me there . Only started 3 weeks ago when i bought it and never tried any other download sites . I'm a late bloomer so I guess I'm a little ignorant about it . But hey , at least I was smart enough to buy an I-pod !:)
