Apple Lossless files drain battery faster?

Apple Lossless files drain battery faster? Recently, I just try out Apple new encode file called the 'Apple Lossless' format. Just wondering, does higher quality files format, drain iPod battery faster?

I started to rip an album in using the "lossless" as well, and I realized that it's got to be similar to "WAV's" because the files are in the 26 to 30 MB range. I'm gonna stick to the 128 AAC and 192 MP3 format.

The cache has to refill itself more often, so yes it will drain the battery quicker

It's not too bad actually (as iPod battery life goes :D )
