Please choose the appropriate forum for this topic. Thank you. I just ripped my new Boxcar Racer CD, 13 tracks....
I ripped them at 320kbps like all my other albums and uploaded them to my ipod....

The problem is when I rip tracks 10, 11, and 13 off of the CD, they play all jumbled up and scratchy, but just around those songs.......

track 10 plays perfect until I get to the later part of the song where the last 10 seconds jumble up....

track 11 plays fine for about 30 seconds, then just goes insane..........

track 13 is the worst, it plays for about 10 seconds, then goes to silence, then comes back on, but all jumbled up, then silence, then back to normal, then it finishes all jumbled up.....

then I ripped with music match and it also messed up the songs really badly, anyone else having trouble like this?

if you have the Boxcar Racer CD, can you please try this?

set the songs to 320Kbps and rip tracks 10, 11, and 13

names of songs:

10)- There Is
11)- The End With You
13)- Instrumental

then play them and see if any part of those songs skip or go trashy....

thanks to anyone who tries to help.....

I'd place my bets on the CD, or more likely the "imitation CD-like digital audio disc" as it would probably be more properly called. Based on your symptoms, I'm guessing it's not really a CD - but I could be wrong (some record labels make almost CD like digital audio discs designed to play on a basic CD player, but not work in computers, DVD players, car stereos, portable CD players, etc.)

Does the CD play ok in your CD-ROM drive? Have you tried to rip at slower rate to see if it'll make any difference?

I remember that Macster used to do that on a dialup line if you tried to get more than a few songs at once. You'd have 5 64k clips and one 30MB mix of the 6 songs. That was frusterating.
