ALE and AAC files both get the .m4a extension.
You can't use the Import command from the File menu to select ALE .m4a files, not even one at a time.
But if you have ALE tracks in your Library, you can select them and then select the "Convert Selection to AAC" in the Advanced menu.
Not only is this cumbersome, you end up with both the ALE and AAC versions in your Library, with the duplicate/incremented file names (foo.m4a and foo 1.m4a)
But is there a more elegant way to batch convert a bunch of ALE files at once to AAC files with iTunes 4.5?
Or is there some utility that would do the same thing?
