iTunes link arrows - why?

Am I missing something? What use are these arrows?
Why would I want to link to a purchase site for songs I already have?

it allows you to go to the artists site (if available) in teh ITMS to get more info or buy more songs from them...

If you don't like the arrows you can get rid of them in your preferences.

I used an apple script to change them to link to what I already had in my library.

That sounds neat. Is it possible to do what you diu on a Windows XP?

I turned those arrows off from Preferences screen.

you can do optionl click (alt click on XP?) to do that. I think it should also be available on the XP version.
