One Ipod Two PCs

I'm new and searched the forums, but didn't find a complete answer to the following question. If I have two PCs and one Ipod (I'll be getting my first one--one of the new ones--in a matter of days), can I:

1. Load tracks to the Ipod from each of the two PCs (I realized I'll have to have firewire or USB 2.0 on each PC)?

2. Copy tracks from the Ipod to the PC which did not originally have those tracks, eventually ending up with the complete audio library on each PC?

I am trying out Media Center 9 and plan to register it. I also know that Ephpod gets high marks.

Hi there, and welcome to iPodLounge... :-)

The answer to both your questions is yes - a Windows iPod can be used just like a portable hard drive for songs, as well as for any other files you'd care to transfer.

However - if you're thinking about transferring a lot of files between the two PCs, you might want to consider setting up a small home network. Both wired and wireless solutions are fairly inexpensive these days, and there are plenty of other things you could use it for... Anyone for Ghost Recon? ;-)

But seriously - you could just share your music folder on one PC and play files directly over the network.
