Hey everyone

ive been working on installing my ipod in my 2000 dodge neon. at the moment, all i can do is to reinstall the factory radio w/ tape player. i just recently bought a new cd headunit, and i dont want to fork over another 200$ for an alpine headunit with aux input. (my cd headunit has no aux input :( )

anyway, i tried the cassette adapter, and so far it works great when using the headphone jack. however, when i tried playing through the dock's line-out jack, the sound was very distorted when played via the cassette adapter.

poop. looks like i can't use the dock with the cassette adapter. i just wish i had an extra 200$ for another headunit!

Jason :)

i, too found the same thing to happen. I thought maybe it was becuase I bought a relatively cheap cassette adapter. It sounded like it was being overdriven...I think I adjusted the eq settings or something and got a better sound.

I ended up donating my 2nd dock to a little art gallery who had an early non-dock ipod to play music in the gallery.

I was disappointed about the sound, not the $40 I spent on the extra dock. But at least they are using it and really enjoying it.
