Importing old MP3s into iTunes

Since I just got my ipod, what's the smoothest and seamless way to import my old MP3s that are in my computer into itunes.

Should I use itunes file/import and import them all in and individually go through and tag them?

File>Add Folder to Library. That will add them to iTunes. Then edit the tags etc in iTunes.
