Deleting from library but not playlist

Is there any way to delete songs from the library database, but keep them in a playlist?

This would be useful for the iTrip beeps and also keeping certain songs that you hate but your friend/significant other loves...

No. The play list is just that, a list, not a mini-library. If you delete the song from the Library it will be removed from the list.

Yup. The library is like a master list for all your songs. If some song is on you iPod it should be in the list.

If you want you can just create large playlists with every song you want. Or have all your songs except the iTrip stations.

Ok listen up maybe this will help you
Copy your whole library into a new play list, then delete the songs from that playlist which you don't like. This way you have a play list that you like and you still have almos the whole Library
