Ive got a 2002 Xterra and didnt really want to take my 6 disk cd changer out of my dash. That was actually the whole reason i bought a ipod is because I am so use to my kenwood mp3 player that i use to have and didnt want to be missing all that music. My factory head unit doesnt support any external imput so that is out of the question. I need a FM transmitter that will allow the remote to still be used. I have the one made for the ipod by belkin that charges the pod also. But you have to run a 35mm connecter from the ipod to the remote. therefore you have 2 wires coming out of your ipods hiding place. Does the itrip have a input that allows the remote to plug into it? Or is there another one out there some where?

The iTrip does not allow you to use the Apple iPod remote. They both use the same jack and the iTrip does not have a passthrough.

The Moster iCar FM Transmitter plugs into the 3G dock connector, leaving the headphone jack free so you could use it with the iPod remote but now you're back to two wires again.
