Just thought I would share how I set up my iPod in the car. I have an aux cable that hooks to the back of the headunit of my stereo and down out the bottom of the glovebox. Then I hooked it into the Belkin auto kit and plug it into the ipod. The iPod fits great in the cup holder. Then I select AUX on the head unit to listen. I would like to get the kit thats out to control my iPod using the steering wheel controls. Some pics:

where did you get the thing to hook it up to your stereo directly? I am moving to RIchmond VA and using an iTrip in a city sounds like crap.

Also you'll notice the cardboard to keep it stable. I also use duct tape to affix it to the dash of my sexy '92 Honda Civic Hatchback.

Americans got all the luck...

European cars often don't have cupholders, especially the older ones...

I'm working on a solution though, I'll post it here when done...

Thats Chewbacca. You cant see it but in front of the driver on the dash I have an old Farooq the wrestler action figure.

So tempting NYIllustrator but I wont have this car for much longer. But I want one!

Since when did Chewbacca have non-hairy, white legs?

Gee, i just bought a tacky gel pad for a dashboard and stuck it in the skinny cubby hole under my radio in each of the cars. keeps it at my fingers and next to the radio so it it gets good reception.

Cost of installation: $5
Installation time: (including opening package) 1 minute.

and I can wash it when it gets less tacky and reinstall it. I can slam corners, and once almost hit someone and it didn't move an inch.

It was incredibley bright out so I guess its the glare. My friend gave me that action figure after I had played a wookiee character on Star Wars Galaxies for 6 months.
