I've recently bought a new 15Gb 3G iPod and truly feel that it is all
I'll need from an mp3 player anytime in the foreseeable future.

Of course, in a perfect world, Apple would have all the resources
on Earth available to it and could continue to develop 4G, 5G, etc. iPods.

In the real world of finite resources, I would happily give my right arm if
Apple would redirect these development resources to releasing a new
pda/vPod (video iPod) instead.

i.e. Continue to produce iPod minis and 3G iPods for the music lover, but
release and dedicate future development to the vPod line.

I was wondering what other people thought...

Video iPod sounds cool. But I'm not sure how useful it'll be. Will it be like a video camera with a lot of memory to store video? Or do users need to upload DVD to this device? DVD takes up a lot of space. I'm not sure if you can squeeze more than a few DVDs on even a 40GB iPod.

Full length DVDs are what 7.6Gb on DVD? You could fit a few on one. I would think the problem would be the screen that size. Something as small as an iPod wouldn't be good to watch a movie on I would think.

Nah, I don't want a video iPod. To me the iPod is an mp3 player, not a video player.
